Why does Jules B stock Greek Archaic Kori?

Most resortwear is either throwaway beach cover-ups or designer pieces with a price tag to match. Greek Archaic Kori sits in the gap. The fabrics are natural, the embroidery is the kind of detail you notice up close, and the shapes are relaxed without being shapeless. These are pieces you’ll pack every year rather than replace every summer. That’s the kind of brand we want on our rails.

Who are Greek Archaic Kori?

Greek Archaic Kori was founded in Athens in 2017 by Stavroula Giannoulatou, and the collections are still designed and made there. In under a decade it has grown into a label sold by hundreds of boutiques and resort stores, mostly across Europe. We like that it hasn’t lost its sense of place along the way. Everything still looks and feels like a Greek summer.

What does the name mean?

The name comes from the korai, marble statues of young women made in ancient Greece. You can see that heritage in the clothes: long, draped lines and embroidered motifs that echo ancient Greek symbols, made modern enough to wear to a beach bar.

Which Greek Archaic Kori pieces can I buy at Jules B?

Dresses are the heart of our Greek Archaic Kori edit, but there’s more to explore:
Look out for the collection names too. Phoenix, Papyrus and Lefkada each have their own embroidery and work together as matching pieces.

What is Greek Archaic Kori made from?

Mostly linen and cotton, with some silk. Linen is the one to choose if you’re heading somewhere properly hot: it’s breathable, it dries fast and it looks better a little creased. Cotton is softer and easier to care for, so it’s a good everyday choice. Each product page lists the exact fabric.

Can I wear Greek Archaic Kori outside summer?

Yes, and winter is a good time to buy it. If you’ve got winter sun booked, a long-haul Christmas trip or a January escape, this is exactly what you want in your case. It’s light, it packs small and you can layer it for cooler evenings. Our end-of-season prices also make it the best moment of the year to stock up.
