Vietnamese Loaded Fries

|It’s National French Fries Day so we’re sharing this super quick and easy snack packed with delicious ingredients that will satisfy your savoury needs. Everybody’s favourite side, fries are a delicious addition to any dish, and in this recipe they combine three different sauces, protein-packed peanuts and fresh cilantro to create a whole new dish for the most exciting taste. As easy as it gets, all you need is some store bought goodies such as frozen french fries, or you can make them yourself by cutting potatoes into strips and frying them in oil – or for a healthier option bake them in the oven; whichever you prefer, they are ought to taste delicious any way, three sauces that you can find in any supermarket – try and make your own garlic mayo by simply mixing grated garlic or garlic powder, milk and any mayonnaise of your choice, and last but not least – peanuts and some fragrant, fresh cilantro that adds colour to thee fries for a more appetising appeal, whilst the nuts add extra crunch. Try this Vietnamese loaded fries recipe from the Little Spice Jar to impress your family and guests, or to simply get your own taste buds excited!

Ingredients

1/2 bag french fries

1/4 cup Hoisin sauce

3 tsp Sriracha sauce

1/4 cup garlic mayo

1/4 cup chopped peanuts

3 tbsp roughly chopped cilantro

For garlic mayo you will need

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 tsp milk

1 tsp garlic powder or grated garlic

Instructions

Bake or fry your french fries according to the package instructions or until golden brown, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. While your fries are cooking, chop the cilantro and prepare your garlic mayo by mixing your ingredients together until thoroughly combined into a delicious sauce. Place the garlic mayo into a squeeze bottle for easy drizzling, or if you do not own one, simply use a spoon to drizzle it later.

Once the fries have thoroughly cooked, season with a pinch of salt to taste. Pile your crunchy fries on a long oval or rectangular plate. Drizzle with the hoison, sriracha and garlic mayo – starting with 3 tsp of sriracha and adjusting to your own spice preference. Top with crushed peanuts and freshly chopped cilantro. Serve warm and enjoy!
