To celebrate the 21st annual Vanity Fair Hollywood issue, the magazine has teamed up with Annie Leibovitz who has photographed all but three of the Hollywood covers sine the first edition debuted in 1999. The shoot oozes the sensational glamour of Hollywood, Leibovitz describes it as ‘hair-rising’ in its intimacy. Leibovitz quotes “Usually you shoot from fairly far away, but we wanted to get really close to the actors.”
The edition features a picture spread of the film industry’s hottest names and the Brits are certainly a forced to be reckoned with, five of the 10 actors pictured are British, a record turn-out for British talent. The celebrities are draped in gold and red glamorous gowns and perfectly tailored tuxes, screaming ‘award season’.
