The Holiday Report: Top 5 UK Summer Festivals


22nd – 26th June

The most notorious summer festival, Glastonbury is a mecca for music, art and culture and has the most stylish celebrities and fashionistas sporting their best festival gear. Glastonbury is always boasting the top artists and this year is no different with the likes of Muse, Coldplay and the stunning Adele headlining Pyramid stage – but with nearly 100 stages, tents and fields you will never be lost for something amazing to do. Don’t miss out on some late night escapes to Shangri-la and Arcadia for some of the most out of this world experiences.

T In The Park

7th – 10th July

A key festival in our calendar, Scotland’s T in the Park is the place to hear some of the most chart-hitting tracks of this year from the likes of Calvin Harris, Disclosure and Last Shadow Puppets. If you’re travelling to the beautiful Strathallan Castle this year, expect to dance all day and night with The Slam Tent blasting out the best DJ tunes and the Hot Tub Time Machine party bringing the ultimate throwback playlist.

Kendal Calling

28th – 31st July

Set in the beautiful Lake Distract landscape this independent festival has grown into one of the top events of the summer and will be seeing incredible performances from Rudimental, The Charlatans and Kelis, to name a few. More than just music, at Kendal Calling discover eccentric pieces from independent artists displayed all over the site, also delve into the Deer Lodge Garden of Eden Spa, letting you take a break from the festival frenzy and have a moment of relation.

What to wear

A stylish waterproof jacket will be essential in Kendal this summer to protect yourself from the wild elements, separates to mix and match for ease and a chic thermal flask for all day hydration will set you for the a great action packed weekend.

Festival No. 6

1st – 4th September

Festival No. 6 is a completely unique and eccentric experience to have this summer with its lavish setting in the picturesque Welsh coastal village of Portmeirion it is a festival haven. Bastille, Hot Chip and Róisín Murphy are just a handful of acts to be on stage this year, but the weekend is booming with a mix of exciting cultural treats, including an annual Carnival of colourful dance and music. Seek out the No. 6 Boutique Village for true luxurious camping, complete with a welcoming bottle of bubbly to start it all off.

8th – 11th September

Funky with a truly welcoming spirit, Bestival ends the season with a fun-filled experience for all. Boasting an immense line up this year, including Years & Years, The Cure and Skepta you are sure to have a weekend like no other. Lose yourself in the ambient forest, dance-away in Bollywood field and make sure to visit The Spaceport for an electrifying light show. If you are looking for a distinctive Bestival weekend this year, treat yourself to a VIP ticket which lets you in the privet Main Stage Garden for all the exclusive parties, lavish cocktail bars and incredible views of the headline acts.

What to wear
