New York Fashion Week brings new surprises and innovative ideas each year. The Autumn/Winter 2017 fashion week featured glistening ready-to-wear collections that are trend setting and inspirational for the female fashion pack this season. Leading designers such as Anna Sui, Michael Kors, Coach and Zimmerman all delivered exceptional collections featuring unique silhouettes, luxurious fabric, trendy colour palettes and vivid patterns. Zimmermann

Zimmermann stepped into the cold season with neutral pastel-toned hues complemented by glints of shimmering metallic following layered silhouettes with a feminine appeal. The collection presented some dramatic gowns and suits as well as showcasing relaxed silhouettes enhanced by oversized coats and long boots with a pop of delicate lace and ruffle detailing. Simple perfection, this collection is breathtaking and we did not expect less.

Anna Sui

Talk about standing out! Anna Sui represented her creative mind and passion through vivid prints and colour palettes followed by vintage inspired silhouettes. Velvet, ruffles, androgynous prints, layered looks, vivid tones and fur, this collection screams all things seventies. Showcasing dresses, wide pants and jackets made in flowy fabrics enhanced by vivid red, mustard, green and blue tones the collection was packed with vibrant character.

Oscar De La Renta

Oscar De La Renta stepped into the season in elegant and sophisticated shapes with a pop of vivid hues and metallics. Classic tailored suits enhanced with subtle geometric shapes and structured gowns with dramatic skirts showcased a perfect balance of luxurious simplicity. This collection is definite trendsetter to a professional attire.

Marchesa

A feminine statement, Marchesa presented a collection of lustrous gowns and evening dresses in silky and sheer fabrics enhanced by delicate fur and feather detailing completed with flowery trimmings. Earthy hues with pops of vivid greens and reds, the collection showcased a feminine side in a spectacular way and we are loving it.

Proenza Schouler

Leather, metallics, glossy finishes and pops of colour, the Proenza Schouler collection combined this season’s trend and presented something that is one of a kind. Slender silhouettes and smart circular cut outs, the collection showcased alternative standards of beauty in the most exquisite of ways.

Coach 1941

A collection with a Western appeal, Coach 1941 presented contemporary silhouettes in a combination of women’s and menswear this season. The use of fur and leather combined with flowery prints and earthy tones, complemented by voluminous puffa jackets and quirky embroidery. Accessorized with bags in every shape and size and enlarged trainer-styled shoes, the collection dominated a check pattern with a delicate addition of flowers and knitwear.

Michael Kors

Inspired by the metropolitan lifestyle, Michael Kors presented a collection featured a selection of camel, grey, khaki and black hues followed by traditional animal and check print with a lustrous addition of voluminous fur coats. A collection giving out a sophisticated and elegant vibe is complemented by trendy pops of metallics that are perfectly balanced with over coats and sharp silhouettes. This collection is a definite trendsetter to a colder weather this season.
