Rihanna never fails to impress when attending the Met Ball. This year she stole the show by embracing the avant-garde theme in a sculptural, jaw-dropping piece by Comme des Garçons. Extravagant and show-stopping, the intricately detailed and layered dress was adorned in lively colour-ways and prints that honoured the designer and the theme effortlessly.
Another creation that stole the show; Priyanka Chopra’s cathedral-length custom Ralph Lauren trench-coat dress. Extravagant and daring, the trench-dress featured a jaw-dropping train followed by traditional trench design and an oversized lapel that effortlessly emphasized the star’s neckline and added the most exquisite shape.
Blake Lively looked like a goddess in her feathered gold and blue Atelier Versace gown. Featuring draped gold beading and stunning feather train adorned in bright blue hues, the gown effortlessly matched the blue carpet and looked fascinating. Accompanied by her husband Ryan Reynolds; whom wore a matching bow-tie and an elegant tuxedo, the power couple without a doubt are one of our favourite duos this year.
Lily Aldridge embraced the avant-garde theme in a custom Ralph Lauren silk gown adorned in white that featured an elegant one-shoulder design and daring cut-outs. She finished the look with eye-grabbing Balenciaga thigh-high boots adorned in seductive red and Bulgari jewellery.
Madonna stood out from the fashionable crowd in her custom Moschino army-inspired gown that was completed with scrim net train and a utility belt. Accompanied by the creator of the dress himself; Moschino’s designer Jeremy Scott, the friends stole the show with their camouflage arrival yesterday.
Zendaya took a daring route by rejecting the Met Gala 2017 theme and stole the show. Ensuring all eyes are on her, the star looked like a tropical goddess in her Dolce & Gabbana vivid Akta Moda gown. With it’s bright, eye-catching colour-way and parrot print, the gown did not fail to make Zendaya one of the most noticed celebrities at last night’s ball.
