The Event Report: BAFTA’s Best Dressed Men

We saw some stunning red carpet looks at this weekend’s British Academy of Film and Television Awards. But this time we have decided to turn our attention to the men in honour of our in store Made-to-Measure tailoring events. Tom Ford, Gucci, Burberry and Thom Sweeney were all sported by the film industry’s favourite males showing us how it’s done for formal wear 2017.

Eddie Redmayne

Possibly one of the red carpet’s most talked about looks this award season, Eddie Redmayne donned a white dinner jacket similar to that worn by Andrew Garfield on the very same night. Designed by Dior Homme, this white dinner jacket is, in our opinion the exception to the rule when it comes to white formal wear worn with black trimmed trousers and accessories to make it a full monochrome look.

Tom Hiddleston

Tom Hiddlestone has become a favourite on the front row as well as on the red carpet, and this weekend didn’t disappoint as he stunned in a custom made Gucci suit featuring a peak lapel and two button fastening. A timeless classic in our opinion and worn well by the British actor.

Dev Patel

Taking home the award for ‘Best Supporting Actor’, Dev Patel beamed in a custom made tuxedo by Burberry. It’s all in the detail with the gross grain lapel to offset a dapper dark navy making black tie dressing look effortless.

Tom Ford

Mastering red carpet style once again, designer Tom Ford wore a burgundy velvet jacket from his own label complete with a complementary buttoned white shirt and simple black trousers.

Jamie Dornan

Jamie Dornan arrived in a timeless navy tuxedo, hands in pockets, relaxed as ever. A safe option for glamorous events we like this two-piece from Neil Barrett paired with patent lace up shoes and accented with a white shirt and pocket square.
