Missoni Art Colour

MISSONI ART COLOUR launches today as part of the Festival of Textiles at the Fashion and Textiles Museum in London’s artistic district of Bermondsey. Celebrating the creative process of the renowned Italian fashion house, the exhibit celebrates both fashion and 20th century fine art. Exploring what has made the label distinctive in the world of international fashion and looking at the work of Ottavio and Rosita Missoni and their modern artistic roots.

Showcasing over 60 years of fashion displayed with paintings and textiles by leading 20th century artists the work by Mossoni hangs alongside Sonia Dlelaunay, Lucio Fontana and Gino Severini, the majority of which have never before been shown in the UK.

The exhibit offers the rare chance to see the history of a family that has had international success and their masterful fusing of creative craft, expertise and trend.

The exhibition runs from 6th May until 4th September 2016 at the Fashion and Textiles Museum, London.
