At Jules B, we have created a step by step guide with five different beautiful hairstyles for you to experiment with in the upcoming summer months. These hairstyles are extremely easy to do and will add timeless elegance to any ensemble.

Side French Braid

Firstly part your hair onto either the right or left side.

Create a part for the hair you want to be in the braid, using a comb.

Put the hair that will not be braided (the majority of it) into a ponytail or clip.

Begin French braiding:

Starting at the part, section off a small rectangular piece and separate it into three pieces. Cross the right piece over the center. Then add some hair to what used to be the right strand (now center) from the right side. Cross the left piece over the center. Then add some hair to what used to be the left strand (now center) from the left side.

Continue French braiding until you’ve used all the loose hair in the braid. Once you are done with that, braid the rest of the hair with a normal braid.

Remove the ponytail that held the rest of the hair and grip the braid to the back of the head with a hairpin.

Add strong hold finishing hairspray to keep the braid in place.

Wear the headband from Deepa Gurnani between the french braid and the top of your forehead to translate boho-chic styling.

Effortless Beach Waves

With curling iron:

For a fast way to achieve beautiful beach waves, firstly divide your hair into different sections.

Before using the curling iron, apply heat protector to ensure that your hair does not get damaged.

Clamp the curling iron onto the selected section of hair and hold down for no longer than five seconds.

After curling each section of the hair, lightly comb the curls to reduce the bounciness.

Apply finishing hairspray to hold the waves.

Finalize the look with your floral embellished headband from Deepa Gurnani.

The High Ponytail

Gather your hair into a high ponytail and secure it with a thin elasticated hair bobble.

Then take a strand of hair from the underside of the ponytail (approximately half-inch) and wrap it around your hair bobble.

Secure the up-do with a bobby pin – concealing it in the base of the ponytail.

The Messy Bun

Firstly pull your hair into a loose high ponytail.

Separate the hair in your ponytail into two or three sections and tease to achieve a volumized and messy texture.

Separate your teased hair into two sections and wrap the hair in opposite directions, pinning an inch from the bottom of your strands.

For an extra messy effect, pull a few rogue pieces out around the face or gently pull certain strands from the bun.

Finish the look by adding the whimsical head piece from Deepa Gurnani.

The Pretty Plait

Firstly prep the hair by applying dry shampoo with volumizing benefits to achieve a maximized texture from the root to the end of the hair.

Secondly tease the crown then lightly comb through the top layer to leave a smooth finish.

Gather the hair to your chosen side then begin to braid to the end of the hair and tie with a thin hair bobble.

Pin any loose ends and lightly spray with a strong hold hairspray.

Finally, accessorise this easy hairstyle with the beaded headband from Deepa Gurani.
