Hackett Sponsors The Queen’s Club Aegon Championships

Following the French Open, the mighty male tennis players of the world descended on London’s Kensington Queen’s Tennis Club to compete against each other for the Championship title. After playing on clay courts for the French and US Opens, Queen’s is the grass-court interlude before the world famous Wimbledon Championships at the end of June. Our very own Andy Murray was defending his title so headed straight in the second round before losing in the third round against Czech player Radek Stepanek. After losing fellow Brits James Ward and wild-card entry Dan Evans in the second round of the tournament, we turn our attention to Spaniard Feliciano Lopez, South African Kevin Anderson and Swiss player Stan Wawrinka who will all be in the closing rounds of the Championships.

One of our favourite brands Hackett sponsors the Championships at Queen’s this year, providing all the court stewards and stewardesses with a custom made uniform (pale blue chinos and blue checked shirts) and deck shoes, as well as having a pop-up shop in the club. Famed for the unique spin they give heritage British dressing, their collection for Spring/Summer has been ripe with single-breasted blazers, linen shirts and tailored chino shorts in perfect summer colours. The Queen’s Club is the perfect setting for Hackett, an event which is so quintessentially British in its history and appearance.
