This week showcased the arrival of fresh fashion talent in this years Graduate Fashion Week celebrations. Taking place at Earl’s Court in London from the 2nd-5th June, this year was the 22nd anniversary of the event, and backed by the sponsorship of George at ASDA, was set to be bigger than ever.
Aiming to promote and nurture emerging, young talent, Graduate Fashion Week has helped launch the careers of much loved British designers such as Stella McCartney, Christopher Bailey, Matthew Williamson and Giles Deacon amongst more. This year, over 40 Universities are taking part in the show which includes over 20 catwalk shows, over 40 exhibition stands and the prestigious awards presentation, all providing an exciting platform for career promotion. This year, for the first time, also see’s the introduction of the International Show, featuring the best-in-show collections from 16 Universities around the world spanning from Parson’s in New York to BUNKA in Japan.
Attended by global brand head-hunters and British Fashion Council members all set to scout the latest action and design brilliance, a wide range of extravagant and bold themes inspired this years Graduates all making for exciting runway shows.
