San Francisco’s Grace cathedral has been recently transformed with 20 miles of multi-coloured ribbons now taking over the historical building, which will showcase to the public until the end of February.
The stunning piece, aptly named ‘Graced with Light’, was created by the cathedral’s artist-in-residence, Anne Patterson, a renowned visual artist and one of the leading designers in American theatre and music today.
It was created in celebration of 100 years of music at Grace cathedral and was as inspired by sacred music. To channel this theme, the range of vibrant hues used are said to reflect the famous colour palette of cathedral and church stained glass windows. It’s said to already be having a therapeutic effect on its vistors!
