Golden Globes 2014

Kicking off the awards season,  the very glamorous Golden Globes was held last Sunday 12th January at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. With a critically acclaimed host of A-Lister’s all vying for an award, here’s a roundup of the winners from the night…

The first award of the night for Best Supporting Actress was presented by Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock and went to Jennifer Lawrence for her role in American Hustle.

American Hustle proceeded to blaze a trail of success, winning an outstanding three awards which included Best Actress (comedy or musical) for Amy Adams, Best Supporting Actress for Jennifer Lawrence, as well as Best Film. Another favourite to win Best Film was 12 Years a Slave, which came out instead with Best Drama. Breaking Bad also won two awards with Best TV Drama and Bryan Cranston winning Best Actor in TV Drama.

The other featured awards were Best Actor in a Drama: Matthew McConaughey, Best Actress in a Drama: Cate Blanchett, and Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical: Leonardo DiCaprio.
