Hannah Weiland, designer and founder of outerwear specialist, Shrimps takes inspiration from the witticisms of modern art. With a focus on texture, colour and playful design the brand has formed a unique reputation in the London Fashion scene. Coined from her childhood nickname, ‘Shrimp’, Weiland has formed a distinguished collection of fluffy outerwear with an identifiable and unique appeal. Multi coloured long line coats and cropped window pane pattern jackets form the basis of the brand whilst playful accessories provide a quirky accent to the label’s overall aesthetic.
An Art History graduate of Bristol University, the collections are influenced by both classic and modern art, listing Picasso, Leonara Carrington and Eduardo Paolozzi as some of her biggest influences, Shrimps outerwear represents more than just faux fur fashion. Each collection is made using fine quality materials sourced from all over the world to give an authentic and premium finish. Offset by quirky cartoon prints and bold window pain checks, each coat is lined with printed fabrics featuring embroidered characters for a personal twist.
This season the Jules B Shrimps selection includes a range of fluffy faux fur cropped jackets in bold pink and navy hues with candy coloured details, crimped collars and whimsical printed linings.
