The original independent woman Beyoncé surprised the world on Thursday by releasing her newest album on iTunes with no pre-warning or marketing campaign.
Mrs Carter showed her star power with the decision to forgo the now cookie cutter tradition of a long line of TV appearances, performances and advertisements that usually reach fever pitch, prior to an artist of Beyoncé’s fame releasing an album.
The self titled album is not only unique in its lack of marketing but also the fact that it comes with 17 amazing, fully realised music videos.
The 32 year old mother of one spoke about her ‘visual album’ by saying ‘I see music more than just what I hear”. She added: ‘When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they’re all connected to the music.’
