B ACTIVE – BIKRAM YOGA

Popular with celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Madonna and Beyoncé, Bikram Yoga has been rather an underground version of the well-known version of the yoga we all know about.  If you haven’t heard of Bikram Yoga, don’t fear we are here to tell you all.

Birkram Yoga was developed over 30 years ago by the world renowned yoga master Birkram Choudhury. He founded this method of yoga whilst recovering from an Athletic injury.

This version of yoga is a unique series of 26 Hatha Yoga positions performed in a room heated to a precise 41 degrees centigrade, the poses promote core strength and flexibility, detoxification, concentration and working in a heated room prevents injury and aids stretching.

Classes last up to 90 minutes which can see you losing anything between 500-900 calories in one session.
