Launching his first womenswear collection in 2007, the Alexander Wang label embodies an urban inspired downtown style, drawing inspiration from everything from nineties grunge to French chic.

The T by Alexander Wang SS12 collection is olympic inspired with a provocative twist on everyday basics. Wang told Vogue that the collection was inspired by competetive swimmers, cylists and marathon runners, this influence of sportswear can be seen in the racer-back designs and hoods. The Spring/Summer collection is on the whole monochromatic, with hints of light pastel tones. The T by Alexander Wang tops feature thin straps, pockets and netting, and for summer evenings the collection has created chunky knit jumpers, hooded tops and gorgeous silk shirts. Flattering ruched skirts and tank dresses are great for everyday wear, while for the evening the T by Alexander Wang dresses combine elegance with the sports theme.
